Connected sum of two Euclidean spaces joined by a wormhole with $S^2 \times \mathbb{R}$ throat geometry
This program renders the view inside a connected sum of two copies of Euclidean 3-space joined by a wormhole. The Riemannian metric transitions smoothly from S2xE geometry (a product of a 2-sphere and a line) near the wormhole mouth to flat Euclidean geometry farther out, and geodesics are computed via RK4 numerical integration. An earth-textured sphere and a moon orbit in the flat region, demonstrating how the curved geometry near the wormhole throat distorts their appearance as seen from inside.
