Inside the Whitehead link complement in $\mathbb{H}^3$, with earth and Mars textures distinguishing the two sides
This program renders the interior of the Whitehead link complement in hyperbolic 3-space, with a manifold double construction where rays reflect off horospheres to pass between two copies of the space. The hyperbolic geometry uses the hyperboloid model, with geodesics computed analytically via hyperbolic trigonometric functions. Earth and Mars textures are mapped to spheres at the origin of each copy, making it visually clear which side of the double the viewer is currently seeing.
