Thurston’s geometrization conjecture (now theorem) classifies closed 3-manifolds using eight model geometries. This program ray-marches through the interior of a flat 3-manifold built as a connect sum of tori equipped with Euclidean geometry, rendering the view an observer would see from inside. The repeating pattern of visible copies of the fundamental domain reveals the topology of the manifold through its universal cover.
