Volumetric rendering of hydrogen orbital densities $|\psi_{n,\ell,m}|^2$ via GPU ray marching
The probability density ∣ψn,ℓ,m∣2 of a hydrogen atom wavefunction describes the likelihood of finding the electron at each point in space. This program renders these densities as luminous volumetric clouds using GPU-accelerated ray marching with direct lighting, shadow rays, and Henyey-Greenstein phase function scattering. The quantum numbers cycle automatically or can be selected interactively, and the volume color shifts over time.
