Geodesics on a $\sin(x)\sin(y)$ egg-carton surface, weaving between peaks and saddle points
This program numerically integrates the geodesic equation on a sinusoidal surface z = sin(x)*sin(y). The periodic variation in height creates an alternating pattern of positive and negative Gaussian curvature, and geodesics weave between the peaks and saddle points. The trajectories are computed from the Christoffel symbols of the induced metric.
