A test of embedding a rectangular patch of non-Euclidean (exponentially-growing) geometry into R3 as a hanging curtain. The spring rest lengths encode a metric with exponential growth, so the surface develops ruffles and excess area as it hangs under gravity — a physical manifestation of negative curvature. This demonstrates how intrinsic geometry constrains the shape of isometric embeddings.
