An animation of knots in 3D space created for Nancy Scherich, Sol, and Lila’s video Danceability of Twisted Virtual Knots. The program renders tubular knot diagrams in three.js, animating the strands through a sequence of Reidemeister-like moves that transform one knot diagram into another.
The knots are drawn as smooth tubes following spline curves in R3, with crossings clearly indicated by the over/under strand separation.
