The International Congress of Mathematicians is held once every four years and is the largest and most prestigious meeting in mathematics. The Fields Medal — mathematics’ analogue of the Nobel Prize — is awarded at its opening ceremony. The 2026 Congress met in Philadelphia, July 23–30, the first held in the United States since 1986.

The Congress put out an international call for artists, and the work selected from it was installed as art collections in the exhibition hall, on view for the whole run of the Congress rather than for the single outreach day.

Warped Realities was one of them: Lightfall, The Geometry of Spacetime and Geodesic Boards, with Robert Fathauer, Edmund Harriss, Stepan Paul and Henry Segerman.
